As part of efforts to make ourselves heard, we have approached ZBC for possible Radio and Television coverage of our music. The short term plan is for ZIGMA to host a programme on radio featuring gospel music from the diaspora. We are proposing to include a greetings session (similar to “Kwaziso”) where listeners can either write or phone in with messages to their loved ones and requests for diaspora music. In the medium to long term we are planning to host a ZIGMA Gospel Music programme during prime time on ZTV. So far the response from the media in Zimbabwe in general and ZBC Management in particular has been very supportive. This is a unique opportunity for us to minister to the nation. We are encouraging all interested persons to join ZIGMA and start enjoying the benefits of membership.
